In the northeast of Italy the Dolomites are special: jagged peaks and narrow valleys with charming old world villages and small towns.  I spent a week there with Kai-Wai Lin and  Ron Jansen who led a small group to the mountains tops and beautiful vistas around the towns of Ortesei and Cortina.  These two are located in the middle of some of the most picturesque areas in the Dolomites.  Each day we were treated to beautiful scenarios, not to mention harrowing drives up and over those mountain tops.
