In August I was fortunate to spend a week in the Faroe Islands with Matt Suess, Jason Odell and Thomas Vikre and 10 other lucky souls. The Faroe Islands (and I don’t think I had ever heard of them before this) are a group of 18 wild, rugged and often barren islands, carved by glaciers thousands of years ago and then formed by rivers, wind and the sea. They offer the lucky traveller unparalleled vistas and friendly people. The collection Faaroe Islands Landscapes comprise color images of these beautiful landscapes.
A number of the images lent themselves to a black and white treatment and I have grouped them together in the collection Faroe Islands in Black and White.
